We've been busy behind the scenes at Start Events, and our website has had quite an upgrade.
As our calendar continues to grow, we wanted to make it easier to discover shows, find performances close to home and learn more about the artists and venues you'll be visiting. So we've introduced a collection of new features designed to do exactly that.
Discover shows by location
One of the biggest additions is our brand-new Locations section.
You can now browse Start Events shows by town, with dedicated pages bringing together all of our upcoming performances in that area.
Each location page shows what's coming up, where the performances are taking place and how to get tickets. You'll also find information about the venues themselves, including photographs, maps and links to their official websites.
And if we're visiting more than one venue in the same town, you'll find them all together in one place.
Find something nearby
Not quite seeing what you're looking for in your town?
Our location pages can also help you discover Start Events performances happening nearby, making it easier to find another great night out without having to search through the entire calendar.
As new towns and venues are added to our programme, they'll automatically become part of the Locations section too, so it will continue to grow alongside our live schedule.
Dedicated pages for every performance
We've also expanded our individual event pages.
Every performance on our calendar now has its own page containing the important details for that particular night, including the venue, town, date, show time and ticket information.
For our featured productions, those pages also include show-specific artwork and information, with links to discover more about the artist or production.
You can even jump straight from an event to see more Start Events shows in the same town.
More ways to discover our shows
The new features join our growing collection of dedicated artist pages, where you can find out more about the shows we work with, watch promotional videos and see upcoming dates.
We've also added our Start Events News section, giving us somewhere to share announcements, new shows, venue news and everything else happening behind the scenes.
Together, it means there are now several ways to find your next show. You can browse by artist, search our full What's On calendar, explore by location or simply have a wander and see what catches your eye.
And we're not finished yet...
Start Events continues to grow, and we're building the website to grow with it.
New shows, venues and locations can be added as our programme expands, while we're continuing to work on new ideas that make finding and booking a great night out as simple as possible.
So have a look around, explore somewhere new and see what's coming to a venue near you.
Your next great night out might be closer than you think.
